Prior to the All-Star Game, on July 18, 2025, fans can look forward to a 3-point contest and skills challenge beginning at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN. Two standout players have been named captains for the game: Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever and Napheesa Collier from the Minnesota Lynx. Clark leads the fan vote with 1,293,526 votes, while Collier garnered 1,176,020 votes.
In an exciting twist, both captains announced their team rosters on July 8, 2025. Clark opted to select her own teammate, Aliyah Boston, as the first overall pick, while Collier chose Breanna Stewart as her top pick.
