Upon arrival, a school resource officer began administering CPR to the victim prior to the arrival of emergency medical personnel. MercyOne dispatched a helicopter which landed on a nearby softball field, but sadly, despite these efforts, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased contractor has been withheld temporarily to give family members time to notify other relatives regarding the unfortunate news. According to a spokesperson for Story Construction, the victim was a bid package contractor engaged in the current building project at the school district.
