Kim, a native of Altadena, California, has demonstrated impressive golf skills during his initial collegiate year. At Stanford, he participated in 10 competitions and recorded a scoring average of 72.7. His performance included a notable finish where he tied for 24th place at the NCAA Amherst Regional in Virginia in May, finishing with a score of +2 (212).
During his freshman season at Stanford, Kim showcased his potential by achieving a tied 13th place finish at The Prestige Individual tournament held in Indio, California. Here, he completed the event with an 8-over 224 score over three rounds. Beyond these collegiate events, Kim has made a name for himself in junior golf, winning the 2024 Junior World Championship at Torrey Pines with an impressive score of 3-under 213.
Coach Kirakossian highlighted that Kim was a highly sought-after recruit during the 2024 class.
