The Grand Ho Tram, Vietnam’s first large-scale luxury integrated resort, is set to undergo a remarkable US$1 billion expansion, aiming to significantly enhance its offerings and capacity. This major development, announced in May, will add a variety of facilities and accommodations designed to attract even more visitors to the stunning coastal location, situated just a two-hour drive from central Ho Chi Minh City.
The ambitious expansion plan will introduce new five-star hotels, luxury resort villas, and a multi-sport and entertainment complex. Additionally, it will feature a wellness and medical spa center and an international convention and exhibition center. With these additions, The Grand Ho Tram aims to accommodate 18,000 guests daily and support Vietnam’s goal of welcoming 100 million international visitors annually.
Established in 2013, The Grand Ho Tram boasts a range of amenities including three hotel towers, a casino, world-class golf courses, 19 restaurants and bars, nine swimming pools, and three spas. Currently, the resort includes the InterContinental Grand Ho Tram with 543 rooms, Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach featuring 561 rooms, and Ixora Ho Tram by Fusion which comprises 164 residences and 64 villas.
The resort has garnered popularity for a variety of events ranging from combat sports and beauty pageants to corporate retreats and exclusive product launches. It emphasizes a blend of leisure and culinary experiences, boasting a diverse selection of dining options that cater to a range of preferences from casual to gourmet Asian cuisine.
The Grand Ho Tram is unveiling its new vision termed District Vui – Quận Vui, focusing on creating a family-friendly haven that appeals to guests of all ages. The expansion is expected to enhance the recreational activities available, which currently include swimming pools, beach access, water sports, a Game Zone, karaoke lounges, and a cinema.
Furthermore, the prestigious Bluffs Grand Ho Tram golf course, designed by acclaimed golfer Greg Norman, is recognized as one of the premier golf courses globally, ranked 68 on Golf Digest’s World’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses and labeled as Southeast Asia’s Best Golf Course for 2024.
Accessibility to The Grand Ho Tram is set to improve significantly with the upcoming Long Thanh International Airport, located approximately 50 kilometers away. This new airport is expected to enhance travel convenience for international and domestic tourists alike, further stimulating interest in the resort.
The Grand Ho Tram is also equipped with modern meeting infrastructure, featuring a grand ballroom, flexible meeting rooms, and outdoor spaces for various events. This capability aligns with the increasing demand for integrated event experiences within Vietnam’s growing tourism and hospitality sector.
The expansion of The Grand Ho Tram coincides with the Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism’s ambitious targets for the nation’s tourism industry, which aims to have the sector contribute up to 17% of the country’s GDP by 2030. By significantly enhancing its attractions and facilities, The Grand Ho Tram plays an essential role in solidifying Vietnam’s position as a key player on the Asian integrated resort market.
Overall, the US$1 billion expansion plan showcases The Grand Ho Tram’s commitment to providing extraordinary experiences and further establishes the resort as a leader within Vietnam’s tourism landscape.
